Landlab at the L.A.P.I.S. workshop Print

 

On Thursday 6th May, Landlab attended the L.A.P.I.S. - Intensive Program in Landscape Studies- , an European Workshop held in Vicenza.

Mr. Roberto de Marchi, presenting the new Urban plan of Vicenza Municipality to the student of the Architecture Faculties of the Universities of Ferrara, Lisbon and Barcelona, exposed the peculiarities of an ecosystemic approach to a city surrounded by hills like Vicenza.

From 23th to 24th march Landlab attended to the IFA (International Fertilizer Industry Association) International Conference concerning Enhanced-Efficiency Fertilizers.


During the conference Adriano Altissimo presented his paper called “Rate and placement for the enhanced use of Controlled release Fertilizers in vegetables”


 
Scientific articles: artificial vs natural lawn Print

 

On nb. 2/2009 of the European Journal of Turgrass science (EJTS),  the Deutsche Rasen Gesellshaft -a german turgfrass company-  publisched 2 remarkable scientific articles on the comparison between natural and artificial lawn.

The first of the two articles reported in the brief summary written by ETS -European Turfgrass society-, makes a comparison between the environmental and ecological sustainibility of the artificial and natural lawn, while the second one focuses ond the results of a study about the presence of several microbial pathogen in the two tipes of turfs.

Both studies confirm the primacy of the natural turf on the artificial one.

 

 

 
Landlab attends 16th Nitrogen Workshop Print

 

From june 28th to july 1st the University of Turin organized the 16th Nitrogen Workshop, an important international meeting  that this year was focused on conecting different scales of nitrogen use in agricolture.

Landlab attended to this meeting presenting a Poster based on trials performed during the last yaers in collaboration with Haifa concerning with different blends of CRF (Controlled Release Fertilizers)
